Here?s the skinny: Expect the next version of Apple Inc.?s? iPhone to be thinner, weigh less and have a bigger screen.
The Wall Street Journal reported this week that three Asian display makers are using what?s called ?in-cell? technology to give the device a thinner screen.
That screen will have a diagonal spread of 4 inches, compared with 3.5 inches for existing versions of the iPhone, the Journal said.
But what everybody wants to know ? when is the secretive Apple going to release the next iPhone? ? remains a mystery.
My uninformed guess is October. Apple released the iPhone 4S on Oct. 14 of last year. But we?ll see.
